Iran condemned the order given by the US president Donald Trump to the Pentagon to begin testing nuclear weapons, characterizing it “irresponsible” and pointing out how it represents “serious threat to world peace and security”.
“The announcement to resume nuclear weapons testing is a retrograde and irresponsible move, a serious threat to world peace and security”underlines the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi in a post on the X platform.
“The world must unite to hold the US accountable for normalizing the spread of such heinous weapons”he adds.
He points out at the same time that the US is demonizing Iran’s nuclear program and was threatening his country’s nuclear facilities with new strikes. “Having renamed the ‘Department of Defense’ to the ‘Department of War’, a nuclear-armed bully resumes nuclear weapons testing. The same bully is demonizing Iran’s peaceful nuclear program and threatening new attacks on our protected nuclear facilities, in flagrant violation of international law.”notes the head of Iranian diplomacy.
