Singer Dulce Maria warned that she is “a little sick”, but that she does not intend to be absent from RBD’s next shows in São Paulo. The group will play at the Palmeiras stadium on the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th of November.
“My friends, how are you? I want to say thank you for all the love you’ve given us”, she began, thanking her for the welcome she received since the start of the tour in the United States.
“Now in São Paulo, we are very happy. I want to tell you that I am very excited and grateful. But I am a little sick, I will do my best”, said Dulce Maria. The band did not say anything about her possible absence from the performances.
Last Sunday (12), at the Morumbi stadium, in São Paulo, the Mexican group helped transform the fans’ night into an apotheosis. They went through the discography of the six years of existence of the Latin band with the most successful entry in Brazil fifteen years after its last visit to the capital of São Paulo and its closure.
With the intention of revisiting all of the band’s hits in just over 2h30, however, the song transitions in the medleys were truncated at times.
The show had several games with the audience, such as a kiss camera in “Bésame Sin Miedo” and five seconds of silence in “Sólo Quédate en Silencio” — interactions that the band only managed to achieve in Brazil.
It was in the country, in fact, that the then sextet found its main consumer audience, and ended up recording its first three albums with Portuguese versions of the songs. But, at the São Paulo show, he left the language behind and only played the original tracks.
