Gwyneth Paltrow she says she fell in love with her husband, Brad Falchuk, because he reminded her of her father. In a new interview with People, the 51-year-old actress opened up about her relationship with Falchuk and even revealed the similarities she shared with her late father, Bruce Paltrow. Paltrow’s father died in 2002.

“He has elements that remind me of my father,” Paltrow said. “He’s Jewish, a TV writer, with a heart of gold and a great sense of humor. In the end, I chose…my father“, said the Goop founder with a smile.

Paltrow and Falchuk, who co-created hit series such as “American Horror Story” and “Glee,” tied the knot in 2018. The couple celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in September.

Reflecting on their relationship, Falchuk also told the magazine in the same interview that Paltrow is “the perfect wife.”

“If she loves you, she’s your champion. You being well makes her happy. He literally screams when he hears good news from someone“, said her husband.

And the support they have for each other is mutual: Paltrow says her husband is a big fan of her company.

“She loves shampoo,” she pointed out. “This summer she tried it for the first time and said: “This shampoo is incredible. Look how soft and shiny my hair is.’ I was like, ‘I can’t believe I didn’t video this.’».

Paltrow was – previously – married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin for over a decade, until they finalized their divorce in 2016. They have two children together. Falchuk also has two children from his previous marriage.
