The hiring of Dimitris Tsaldaris as first assistant to Aris Lykogiannis was announced by Panionios. The 43-year-old former guard worked from 2018 to this year as the director of Olympiakos’ academy, while he was on the team’s bench during the promotion to the Basket League in 2021.

K.A.E. PANIONIOS announces that Dimitris Tsaldaris joins the team’s coaching staff, as a direct partner of Aris Lykogiannis.
Dimitris Tsaldaris, was born on 7/3/1980 in Piraeus and initially competed in the A2 Category (Alimos and Peristeri) and then wrote many kilometers in the A1 (Panhellinios, Aris, Kolossos Rhodes, AEN Kifissia, KAOD and Doxa Lefkada) but also in Italian championship (Napoli, Montegranaro, Sassari and Biella).
He also played seven times for the Men’s National Team.
From 2018 to August 2023, he held the position of Olympiakos’ Academies Director, while he was also the head coach of the team that won promotion to the Basket League in 2021.
