The Federal Police are investigating suspected kidnapping, human trafficking, sexual harassment, abuse and sexual harassment on the Cabaré Ship. The vessel, which was at sea from November 12th to 15th, is a country music themed cruise and was hosted by singer Leonardo and the duo Bruno and Marrone.
According to the newspaper O Globo, the agency boarded the ship on Monday (13), in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro, in an action that rescued four young people aged 18 to 21.
Born in Santa Catarina and SĂ£o Paulo, the young women reportedly told investigators that they were hired by an agency to work as models. After arriving on the ship, they reported having been prevented from communicating externally and that they were moving under surveillance.
The report also says that they claimed to have seen local employees provide drinks suspected of containing unusual substances. The ransom would have been requested after one of them gained access to a phone and made contact with the family, who called the police.
The four women were taken to the Federal Police Station in Angra dos Reis and were sent to the Medical-Legal Institute for forensic examinations. In a note to F5the Federal Police states that it does not comment on ongoing investigations.
Singer Leonardo’s press office told the F5 that the singer found out what happened after leaving the ship and that he doesn’t know anything. Bruno and Marrone’s communication was not located.
Promotion, organizer of the attraction, did not respond to requests made by F5.
