At November 24 (09.30 – 14.00) in the central auditorium of the University of Western Attica in Campus 1, Agios Spyridonos and Dimitsanas Aigaleo, Agia Marina Metro, the Conference on “Saltwater and Cultural Tourism: Messolonghi & Lesbos” will be held

The scientific manager is Maria ManolaAssociate Professor of the Department of Tourism of the Faculty of Education.

As the Federation of Lesbian Associations of Attica (OLSA) states in its announcement: “The Conference is under the auspices of the municipalities Western Lesvos and I.P. In the framework of the development of Cultural Tourism of the Municipalities of I.P. Messolonghi & D. Lesvos, the role of the salt marshes as a cultural and touristic product and their potential as institutionalized points of interest according to UNESCO, to contribute to an extremely large extent, to the local economies, will be examined.

The aim of the conference is to highlight the cultural and touristic value of the ecosystem surrounding the salt flats and to examine the conditions, possibilities and prospects, so that they become an important pillar of the tourism industry of Messolonghi and Lesbos.
