Ozzy Osbourne he talks about his health, whether or not he’s afraid of death, and the one thing he still hopes for. In a recent interview with the British “Rolling Stone”, the “Godfather of Heavy Metal” revealed that a tumor was found in one of his vertebrae, while he underwent a fourth spinal operation.

The surgery was done to repair damage caused by a fall in 2019, which dislodged the metal rods he had placed in his body after another accident he had in 2003.

This whole story has really brought me down.”, Ozzy Osbourne said. “The second operation went wrong and basically left me disabled. I thought I would be ready after the second and third surgery, but with the last one they put a rod in my spine. They found a tumor in one of the vertebrae, so they had to dig that out as well. It’s pretty tough. I have completely lost my balance“, he reported with disarming honesty.

However, this is not the only setback faced by the artist in recent years, who has spoken openly about his addictions and drug use in the past. In 2020, he shared that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

Now, Osbourne has said he’s come to some realizations as he’s had quite a bit of trouble while he’s been bedridden. “All my drinking partners, I realized, are dead! The graveyard is full of them!’ He added: “I should have died long before many of them. Why am I the last one standing? I don’t understand any of this. Sometimes I look in the mirror and think, “Why the hell did you do that?”. I don’t brag about any of this, because I should have died a thousand times over. I have done gastric lavage God knows how many times».

But through it all, Osbourne said he still doesn’t fear death. “I’m not afraid of death, but I don’t want to have a long, painful and miserable existence“, explained. The only thing Osbourne is upset about is the fact that he never got a chance to say goodbye or thank you to his fans.

If I can’t continue to do concerts on a regular basis, I just want to be well enough to do a concert where I can salute them. In this direction I am working and if I “drop dead”, I will die happy».
