It’s a fan delight, says Mel Fronckowiak about the revival of ‘Rebelde Brasil’

Former member of the cast of the teen soap opera Rebelde Brasil, Mel Fronckowiak said she was surprised by the news of a possible reunion of the group in 2024. Interpreter of Carla, one of the protagonists of the adaptation of the Argentine Rebelde Way (2002), she considered it a “delirium of fans” the rumors of a reunion with the other five colleagues from the project.

Without mentioning the names of the other actors —Arthur Aguiar, Lua Blanco, Chay Suede, Micael Borges and Sophia Abrahão—, she is emphatic: “I don’t see that [a nova versão] happening. Not even. We followed very different paths”, he tells F5. Mel, for example, claims to be in another and, for a few years now, has recognized herself more as a presenter than as an “actress who sings”.

In the teen phenomenon shown by Record TV in 2011, Mel was a romantic partner with the character Tomás, played by Chay Suede. Since then, she has appeared in series such as O Hipnotizador (2015) and 3% (2016). It is as a presenter, however, that he sees himself. This is her focus. “I consider myself an actress, who may eventually sing, but I feel comfortable as a presenter.”

Married to Rodrigo Santoro since 2017 (they have been together since 2012), Mel anticipates that she will be in another season of “Destino Certo”, on GNT, in 2024. After touring Brazil in the last few episodes, she will return to international travel.

“We are still looking at some itineraries, but possibly the East should be on the next trips. It’s a destination that I know little about and I want to explore”, he concludes.
