Three months ago, Preta underwent surgery to remove bowel cancer. After the procedure, she needed to use an ileostomy bag to help with the flow of feces until her intestines were fully recovered.
Before the intestinal reconstruction surgery, the singer recorded videos saying she was grateful for the scholarship, which allowed her to recover after the tumor was removed. In recent months, she recorded videos and posed for photos showing the bag and promoting its benefits. In return, she received dozens of photos and thanks from other patients.
“Yes, I use an ileostomy bag and I’m not ashamed to show it, because this bag saved my life and gave me the possibility of recovering from surgery that removed the tumor I had! I know it’s not easy, but believe me, I’m Thank you,” he said.
This Thursday (30), Preta said that she had to remove her hair extensions and false nails to carry out the most recent surgical procedure.
In September, the artist returned to the stage to participate in the “nós, a Gente” tour, which brought together Gilberto Gil and his family. In November, she paraded at SPFW, received awards, tributes and went to parties.
