It is one of the most successful franchises in the field of video games that returns strongly after a decade, after Grand Theft Auto V, which was released in 2013 and sold 190 million copies. It is indicative of the “thirst” of the gaming community that the trailer already has 7.4 million views.
The innovation
The trailer revealed the two protagonists of the series: Lucia, the first heroine in the history of the long-running 3D series and apparently of Latin American origin. Her yet-to-be-named accomplice/partner roams the sprawling Vice City (essentially Miami) in a speedboat, sports car, and motorcycle.
Either way, it’s pretty obvious from the footage that the two are romantically linked and share a Bonnie and Clyde-type relationship, and everything points to the user’s choice of main character.
The disadvantage
The minor downside to the new game is that it will be released sometime in 2025, maybe even… December 2025, so we have a long way to go. The main downside though is that it doesn’t come in a Windows version, which no doubt disappointed many PC users. Maybe we’ll see it much later on PC like Red Dead Redemption, ie from 2027 onwards…
