A second actress filed a formal complaint against Gerard Depardieuclaiming that the French movie star sexually assaulted her on set movie “Disco”, in 2007.

The French actor had been accused of sexual misconduct by 13 women who spoke to French investigative news website Médiapart as part of a months-long investigation into the French movie star. The Médiapart report details numerous instances of lewd comments and misconduct by Depardieu on film and television sets between 2004 and 2022, including in the French comedy ‘Big House’, the period biopic ‘Dumas’ and the Netflix crime series , “Marseille”.

The new complaint, filed by actress Hélène Darras, alleges that Depardieu sexually assaulted her while they were working on the movie “Disco” in 2007. Paris prosecutors confirmed to Variety that they received the new sexual assault complaint and are investigating allegations.

Hélène Darras was 26 years old when she appeared in ‘Disco’, a comedy co-starring Depardieu.

“He looked at me like I was a piece of meat,” Hélène Darras said of Depardieu, recalling that he “came up to me and then ran his hand over my hips and buttocks.”. Then, according to her, he asked her if she wanted to go to his dressing room. The actress refused, but “that didn’t change anything. He kept groping me between shots».

Hélène Darras said she did not report the actor at the time because she feared it would lead to her being “blacklisted”. “I hadn’t even finished drama school. I really wanted to be an actor».

According to the Guardian, investigators are studying the complaint to determine whether or not to formalize the lawsuit against Depardieu, based on the statute of limitations for sexual offenses. In 2018, actress Charlotte Arnould accused the actor of rape. Depardieu has denied all charges and the case is currently before the courts.

Last May, the investigative news website Médiapart published an in-depth report detailing the allegations of 13 women. Depardieu denied all accusations and, in October 2023, published an open letter in the French newspaper “Le Figaro” defending himself. “I have never, ever abused a woman,” he wrote. “In the court of the media, in the lynching reserved for me, I have only my reason to defend myself.” And he added that he is “neither a rapist nor a predator”.
