UK King Charles III’s Christmas meal has been revealed – and even the former Palace chef is unimpressed by what’s on the menu.

Darren McGradya chef from Nottinghamshire, England who once cooked for members of the royal family, opened up about the holiday tradition in a new interview.

The family used to spend the holidays at Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, England every year.

“It was the same meal every year. They are really boring when it comes to holidays. They didn’t make ham only traditional turkeys,” he told OK magazine.

“We were cooking three turkeys for the queen and her family in the royal dining room, one for the children and then more for the staff, for about 100 people, so everyone had a meal,” he added.

After the death of Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 96, on September 8, 2022, the chef expects the king to remain at the same meal as last year. Most likely, his main course will come with mashed and baked potatoes, onion stuffing, Brussels sprouts, carrots, roasted parsnips and two sauces, either cranberry or bread.

Charles and his loved ones – Queen Camilla, Prince William, Kate Middleton and their children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, will also have dessert, likely pudding, which she brings in the dining room the butler of the Palace – warm and flambé.
