The famous actor George Clooney he talked about his friend Matthew Perry and his untimely and tragic death. She claimed that Perry struggled to be happy due to his addiction to alcohol and drugs.

Speaking to “Deadline,” the “ER” actor recalled that Perry’s dream was to land a role on a sitcom, which he finally did when he landed the role of Chandler Bing on “Friends” in 1994. However, due to of his addictions, Perry still struggled to keep going.

He was a kid, and all he would say to us, which was me, Richard Kind and Grant Heslov, was, “I just want to be on a sitcom, man. I just want to get into a regular sitcom and I’d be the happiest person on earth62-year-old Clooney said.

And he joined one of the best series ever. He was not happy. It brought him no joy or happiness or peace“, said the actor.

George Clooney explained that the two of them worked side by side every day and he had no idea “what was going on inside him”. At the time, Clooney was filming “ER,” while Perry was on “Friends,” which was the most popular series of the 90s.
