Rihanna is one of the richest artists in the world, according to a recent survey carried out by Forbes magazine. According to the list, the singer has a net worth of around US$1.4 billion (R$7 billion).

Owner of a mansion in Beverly Hills, which cost her R$55.5 million, the artist was born in Barbados and lived in a small house from the age of 5 to 16. On the small island in the Caribbean, she has already received the title of national heroine.

The residence where the singer grew up is 20 minutes from the center of Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados, and has become a tourist attraction. It is even possible to rent a place to sleep for R$519, according to CNN. With two bedrooms, living room, kitchen and a small backyard, the colorful facade draws attention with its colors and also with a plaque identifying the emblematic figure who lived there.

Another avenue on the island was renamed Rihanna Drive, known for its bars, which make several references to Rihanna.

“My entire life has been shaped on this street. I was just a little girl riding my bike, running barefoot and flying kites in the cemetery, but I had big dreams. Dreams that were born and fulfilled right here,” says a plaque next to a statue of her .
