Rico Melquiades promises to continue advertising for Blaze: ‘I’m not doing anything wrong’

Rico Melquiades, digital influencer and former participant of A Fazenda 13, stated that he will continue advertising for Blaze, a gambling company that is the target of an investigation by the Federal Police. Asked by his followers about being afraid of being arrested, he said: “of course not. I don’t do anything wrong.”

This Wednesday (20), he published stories on Instagram talking about the subject and confirmed that he will continue with the relationship. “I had a meeting with my lawyers and the company’s lawyers and saw what Fantástico didn’t show,” he wrote, without specifying what had been presented to him.

After the broadcast of a report on Fantástico (Globo) this Sunday (17) about the company’s alleged illegal actions, many influencers are seeking a contract termination to leave the platform. Among the names are actress Mel Maia and ex-BBB Larissa Santos.

“It seems like I’m the only one who promotes Blaze”, added Melquiades hours after stating that he will continue with the contract. “But there are a lot of influencers who still have a contract with Blaze, they just took it out of their bio to wait for the dust to settle and, when the dust settles, they go back to publicizing. Then, in the meantime, there’s only me who shows up to shout , which I disclose.”

This Tuesday (19), Rico released one of the money betting games. “It’s a game, you win and you can also lose,” she said. In the recording, he made a point of repeating many times that people can lose when playing.

Blaze began to be investigated after bettors reported that high amounts were not paid by the platform, which amounts to fraud. In a note, the company states that it is based in Curaçao and that, therefore, its activity does not constitute a criminal offense even if the bettors are Brazilian.
