Former commentator for Jovem Pan, Adrilles Jorge says that the reason for his dismissal from the station was because of “pressure from a canceling mob and its bloodlust”.
On social media, he commented on his disconnection and thanked the old channel for the chance. “I was fired from Jovem Pan for saying a bad goodbye to cancellers. I thank you for the opportunity and all the friends I made there and who trust and support me”, posted Adrilles.
The alleged Nazi salute came as he addressed the Monark case on a live broadcast (see the moment below). Monark defended the existence of a Nazi party and was also disconnected from the Flow Podcast.
On the occasion, Adrilles extended his palm upwards in a movement similar to the “Sieg Heil”, a Nazi salute used by Adolf Hitler (1889-1945) which in German means “long live victory”.
In a note, the station reinforced that it repudiates any demonstration in defense of Nazism and its ideas. “We are vehemently opposed to the persecution of any group on ethnic, religious, racial or sexual grounds.”
In another passage, he mentions that commentators have independence to express opinions, respecting the limits of the law, “opinions that do not reflect the positions of the Jovem Pan Group.”
In a video published on the morning of this Wednesday (9), the commentator and ex-BBB Adrilles denied that he had this attitude and highlighted that he just wanted to say goodbye in a more stripped way.
“I didn’t do anything, I’m an anti-Nazi. On the other hand, I can apologize for anyone who made a mistake with that gesture, I would never make a gesture as a joke,” he said.
After the act on the show, the show’s host, William Travassos, repudiated the greeting that he also apparently understood as wrong and said: “Surreal, Adrilles”. On Twitter, where Adrilles’ name was among the most talked about topics, the commentator also explained himself.
“The insanity of the cancellers has exceeded the limit of madness. After a vehement speech of mine against any defense of Nazism, a goodbye is interpreted as a Nazi salute. Nazi is the canceller rage that doesn’t see its own criminal sense”, posted Adrilles.
