Serena Williams donates breast milk: ‘Someone will receive super soldier’s milk’

American tennis player Serena Williams is helping other families with babies at home. This Wednesday (20), the 42-year-old former athlete revealed that she donated breast milk left over from a recent trip to New York, in the United States.

“After going through screening, I was able to donate it instead of taking the milk home,” Williams wrote in the caption of an Instagram video. “I know so many amazing women who adopt or can’t produce milk. It was incredible. In fact, someone out there is going to receive super soldier milk.”

In the video, you can hear the tennis player’s voice as she opens a freezer, displaying several packets of breast milk. Williams said she was “really excited” to donate her breast milk “to people who really need it.”

Before closing the freezer door, she adds, “It’ll be anonymous, but I’m super excited to be able to help in some way.”

Williams and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, welcomed their second daughter, Adira River Ohanian, in August. The couple’s first daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., nicknamed Olympia, was born in September 2017.

“O backhand of some kids just got stronger,” joked an Instagram user in the comments.
