The streaming platform is teaming up with writer, actress and director Lena Dunham on a new romantic comedy, “Too Much.” The series is perfect for those who are disillusioned with their love lives and wonder if true love is still possible. Would you like to know more? Here’s everything we know so far about Dunham’s new Netflix series.

What is the plot of “Too Much”?

The series follows Jessica, a workaholic woman from New York in her thirties, trying to come to terms with a recent breakup. The solution? Starting over by taking on a new job in London. But then she meets Felix, who is less Hugh Grant in Notting Hill and more Hugh Grant’s drunken roommate. However, Jessica realizes the connection between them, which she cannot ignore. But what they should ask themselves is whether the Americans and the British really speak the same language, as the official synopsis says.

Who will be the protagonists in the series?

Megan Stalter (Hacks) will play the lead role of Jessica and Will Sharp (The White Lotus) will play Felix.

The 10-part series was created by Dunham and her husband Luis Felber. Too Much will be produced by Working Title Television, which is part of Universal International Studios (Love Actually), and Dunham’s Good Thing Going. The series will also feature original music by Felber.

Of the series, Dunham said: “This is a series that’s very close to my heart – created with my husband Luis, with my favorite actors – the geniuses that are Meg and Will, along with a friends – and I’m teaming up again with Working Title, who are behind the romantic comedies that formed me. Netflix has so deeply supported the vision, which is to create a romantic comedy that makes us root for love, brings joy, but also has the jagged edges of life.”

When will “Too Much” be released?Production on the series is set to begin in the UK in 2024, so we have plenty of time to wait until the series hits Netflix.
