Actress Claudia Alencar, 73, was extubated this Tuesday (26) in the morning and, now, doctors are waiting to see how she will react. The information was given by the actress’s son, Yann Hatchuel, to Quem magazine.
“Her condition is still serious and she remains in the ICU, but the clinical exams continue to show improvements. We still need to wait for the new culture result, which should come out in three days,” he said, who lives in the United States and is trying to come to Brazil.
Due to a bacterial infection, the actress has been admitted to the Intensive Treatment Unit (ICU) at Clínica São Vicente, in Rio de Janeiro, since the 17th. A new medical bulletin, shared by the team on Monday (25) , said that she showed “significant improvement” in her health.
The actress was diagnosed with septicemia, which is a widespread infection that leads to a drop in blood pressure, an increase in heart rate and the need for mechanical ventilation. The condition is possibly the result of spinal surgery performed a month ago.
Claudia Alencar has been away from television since 2017, when she briefly participated in the Globo soap opera “Rock Story”. She is expected to return to the media in “Beleza Fatal”, the first soap opera produced by HBO Max.
