A resident of the city of Búzios, on the coast of Rio de Janeiro, used a stand up paddle board to swim to the location where player Neymar’s cruise is located, which has caused a stir on social media.

Paulo Vitor, 20 years old, managed to catch the attention of the guests of the former Brazilian national team striker. The man works at a beach shack and borrowed the equipment to try to get closer to the idol on Wednesday (27).

Influencer Vinicius Barros, who was on board the ship, presented him with a t-shirt from the event, nicknamed Ney in Alto Mar. The player ended up not seeing the young man. He did not appear to greet him, despite the boy’s efforts.

In an interview with the newspaper O Globo, Paulo Vitor explained that this is not the first time he has used a board to swim to the high seas, but this time he had a special reason.

“I’ve always rowed to distant places. I already knew that Cruzeiro do Neymar would come here, and I just wanted to have the feeling of being close to Neymar. I asked to borrow a stand up board and decided to go there”, he said.

“With a lot of sacrifice, I managed to arrive, but I didn’t imagine that anyone would pay attention to me, because, right? Everyone is enjoying themselves and so on. When I was approaching there were already a lot of people recording and shouting at me”, he celebrated.

“At that time, I took advantage of the moment and asked for a shirt or a glass, luckily I got what I wanted. I’m very happy with this crazy experiment that I did, it turned out very well”, he revealed.
