Paralympic athlete Vinicius Rodrigues, 29, was confirmed in the box at BBB 24. The announcement was made by Globo, this Friday (5). The Brazilian is a Paralympic medalist.
Born in Rosana (748 km from São Paulo), Vinicius suffered a traffic accident in the city of Maringá, 425 km from the capital Curitiba. He had part of his left leg amputated and while still in the hospital, he received a visit from Paralympic athlete Terezinha Guilhermina, who introduced him to athletics.
His first Paralympic competition was in 2015. Four years later, during a tournament, he broke the world record for the 100-meter dash in the T63 class for leg above-the-knee amputees, with a time of 11.95.
Vinicius competed in the Parapan American Games in Lima, in 2019, and the Paralympics in Tokyo, in 2020, when he won the silver medal in the competition.
“I’m a big reviewer. The party is the best part, I like to celebrate”, he explains. Single, never dated. He says he doesn’t get emotional easily and that it takes people a while to win him over. “I have a lot of love to give, but dating has never been my strong point”, he jokes. Among friends, he claims to be considered a “forward”, calm and peaceful guy.
