Paralympic athlete Vinícius Rodrigues had his Bolsa Atleta payment suspended by the Ministry of Sports for not having announced that he would participate in BBB 24, which premiered last Monday (8), on Globo.
To the F5, the National High Performance Secretariat reported that the suspension is due to non-compliance with the sports plan approved for him to gain the benefit.
Vinícius Rodrigues earns around R$15,000 per month from Bolsa Atleta. Payment will only be reinstated if he informs, within ten days, the reasons for not notifying him that he was going to the program.
In other words, the athlete would only do this if he left next week, as one of the first to leave the house. Vinícius is not in the first wall that will take place this Thursday (11).
Payment has already been preventively suspended, according to the report. In a statement, the Ministry of Sports says it is still waiting for a response.
“We found out through the media, and the athlete will be notified within 10 (ten) days to inform us if they will actually participate in the program. If they confirm their participation, payment of the benefit will be suspended, considering that they will not comply with the sports plan. approved”, says the note.
The report contacted Vinícius Rodrigues’ team, who did not comment until the last update.
