The video of the couple’s appearance on the red carpet at the Golden Globes has gone viral
Emily Blunt and John Krasinski are one of the famous and beloved (until recently at least) Hollywood couples: they have been together for 14 years and have two children, 9-year-old Hazel and 7-year-old Violet.
But the pair’s last appearance together at the Golden Globes sparked rumors that something was amiss.
Social media users read their lips while having a very brief dialogue in front of the cameras as they posed with smiles on the red carpet.
Most concluded that Krasinski, at the time of the photo shoot, whispered in her ear – always smiling – “I can’t wait to break up” (or I don’t see the time to get a divorce).
“She definitely said divorce,” one user insisted. “But maybe that’s humor between them, their way of flirting.”
Still others claimed they were talking about the weather and Krasinski told her “it’s cold, I can’t wait to get inside.” However, after this appearance and the video that went viral, after two days Emily Blunt appeared alone at the Governors Awards and posed with her colleagues.
Nothing is wrong with the couple, say friends and experts
After the uproar, a source close to the couple spoke to US Weekly and said that the word divorce was not mentioned at all in the couple’s small talk and that everything is fine between them.
“There are no problems with Emily and John. In fact, they find the rumors funny and ridiculous,” he said characteristically.

Also, lip reading experts confirmed that at that moment they were talking about the weather, that it is cold and that John is anxious to get into the room.
