The mansion – museum in Atlanta

Elton John first chose to settle in Atlanta in 1990, during his drug and alcohol rehab. It was in the Georgia capital that he fostered his love of photography, thanks in part to local gallerist Jane Jackson.

The mansion in Atlanta was proof of that eclectic taste of the singer-songwriter. He decorated the walls with photographs of artists such as Andy Warhol and Irving Penn, a portrait of Julian Schneibel and works by Damien Hirst.

“The collection reflects the sensibility of a unique artist whose work and vision are admired around the world,” says Christie’s.
