Sony’s big deal with WarnerMedia that also benefits Greece

by

The big streaming game is slowly being transferred to Europe, where Netflix has maintained its dominance since 2016 when it made its global opening. The other major platforms that have opened in recent years are making their way to our continent with careful steps and within the year as it has been known for a long time, Disney Plus and HBO Max will be available in our country.

The only big studio left without its own streaming platform is Sony, but its huge list allows it to make deals with everyone and just make money.

As it became known, Sony extended its agreement with WarnerMedia to allow the latter to show the films from its own media in Central and Eastern Europe.

The important thing in this case is that in the near future HBO Max will premiere in many countries in the region covered by the agreement, including Greece.

Among the films included in the deal is of course Spider-Man’s No Way Home but also the Ghostbusters: AfterlifeVenom: Let There Be Carnage, Unchartered and Morbius.

At the same time, Sony has an agreement with Netflix for the right to show its movies, so it is a given that some of them will appear on both services. Which of course is good for subscribers.

“HBO Max is coming to Europe bringing with it the best movies and series from the 100 years of Warner Bros. along with the content of HBO, Max Originals, DC and Cartoon Network. From Singin ‘in the Rain to the Matrix, from Game of Thrones to the Mare of Easttown, from The Flight Attendant to Gossip Girl, from Superman to the Joker and from Bugs Bunny to Scooby Doo we really have something for the whole family in a superior viewing experience, “Warner Media said in a recent announcement.
