Apple TV+ Debuts ‘The New Look’ Trailera new historical drama series starring the Ben Mendelsohn as top designer Christian Dior and Juliette Binoche as Coco Chanel.

Based on true events, Todd Kessler’s series follows Dior’s early career in Nazi-occupied Paris, exploring how he and several other French designers launched modern fashion amid the horrors of World War II. “The series follows the extraordinary stories of the designer’s colleagues and rivals, from Chanel and Pierre Balmain to Cristóbal Balenciaga and more, and provides a stunning look at the atelier, designs and clothes Dior created at the famous house” .

Also starring Maisie Williams as Catherine Dior, John Malkovich as Lucien Lelong and Glenn Close as Carmel Snow as well as Emily Mortimer and Claes Bang.

Grammy Award-winner Jack Antonoff musically curated the series, featuring covers of songs from the early 20th century featuring the voices of the Bleachers, Florence Wells, Lana Del Rey and Nick Cave, among others.

In the ambitious production of Apple Studios and DB-AK Productions, Kessler signs in addition to the direction, the script and part of the production.

The first three episodes will premiere on February 14th, while the series will conclude on April 3rd.
