A man, who had already been arrested and released after trying to enter Taylor Swift’s apartment last Saturday (20), was arrested again in front of the same building where the artist’s property is located, in Manhattan.
According to the New York Post, the suspect, identified as David Crowe, wandered around the singer’s property and asked other people if Swift lived there.
A member of Swift’s security team notified officers who made the arrest. Arrested, the 33-year-old man was transported back to the first police station in Lower Manhattan, where he had previously been accused of harassment and stalking.
“Stalkear”, an expression used to refer to people who stalk others, had tried to force open the door to Taylor’s building last week, but that was not the first time that Taylor Swift had been stalked.
In 2014, a “stalker” had already tried to enter the building. In 2018, another person climbed the stairs to his apartment and slept in his bed. In 2021, a man who claimed to be in love with the star also broke into his residence.
Last year, a man named Mitchell Taebel was arrested for stalking, invading privacy, intimidation and harassment against Swift. The man tried to contact the singer repeatedly, until he sent a voice message saying he would “use a bomb” if he couldn’t be with his “soulmate”, according to information from CNN.
