It is the second highest amount raised in this particular auction titled ‘Unstoppable: Signature Styles of Iconic Women in Fashion’.
A black velvet dress handmade by Kathryn Walker for Princess Diana, as well as the Givenchy couture ensemble Grace Kelly chose for her 1961 meeting with President John F. Kennedy and Jackie fetched the highest price when sold, the each for $325,000.
The winning bid for Carrie’s famous skirt was one of the most shocking moments of the auction, as it topped the original high estimate of $12,000.
