Julianne Moore is going to star in the first one English movie of the Spanish creator, Pedro Almodovar “The Room Next Door”.

Moore, whose involvement in the film was confirmed by the Spanish director, writer and producer’s production company El Deseo on social media, will co-star alongside Tilda Swinton.

According to the Instagram post, “The Room Next Door” is a “mother-daughter drama” and will shoot in the spring in New York and Madrid.

No other details about the plot or the roles of Julie Moore and Tilda Swindon have been revealed.

Pedro Almodovar has previously said that his shorts “The Human Voice” and “Strange Way of Life” – both in English – were just warm-ups so he could get used to directing English-speaking actors.

She had previously directed the English language film ‘A Manual for Cleaning Women’ in which she was to star Cate Blanchett, but dropped it in 2022.

The film “The Room Next Door” is the first since 2021’s “Parallel Mothers”, which premiered in Venice.
