Regina Casé, 69, shared with her followers this Friday (26) that she had a scare at the end of last year. She had a problem with her eyes and couldn’t see for two days.
The actress said she suffered chemical damage to her cornea caused by false eyelash glue. Some of the glue obstructed the eye glands and prevented the eye’s natural lubrication.
The actress and presenter said that at first she thought it was a stye, but when she arrived in New York, on vacation with her family, the eye got worse and she had to go to the ophthalmologist five times.
“He said he was angry, that he looked like the craters on the moon,” said the actress. “It was five days, everyone was out walking and I was locked in the hotel, for two days I couldn’t see. It was desperate, a nightmare,” she described.
“Fortunately it was reversible, but it was very scary for me”, he said.
Now recovered, Regina showed her followers her pilgrimage to the church of Santa Luzia, protector of vision, to give thanks.
The actress’s son-in-law, João Pedro Januário, joined his mother-in-law on the pilgrimage. In 2015, he was the victim of an accident with a shredded paper cannon at a Ludmilla show and lost central vision in his left eye.
“All of this is for you to be careful with, the eyelash glue, the makeup that was on your eyes”, warned Regina.
