After a month, influencer and YouTuber Cauê Moura decided to officially comment on the death of PC Siqueira, with whom he had a channel. In 2020, after PC was the target of an investigation for alleged pedophilia, comedian Rafinha Bastos and Cauê ended their relationship with him.
Cauê claims that he was on vacation and decided to deactivate his social media account so as not to read comments about the case, although many people went to his Instagram to ask for a position and even charge him for theoretically abandoning Siqueira.
“It’s a tragic situation, it hurts everyone. Even though I hadn’t had contact for years, it hurts and traumatizes me. I hadn’t spoken to him in three years,” he began in an outburst on his YouTube channel.
According to him, despite everything, PC “was part of my life” and served as inspiration in the early days of the internet. He also said that those who called him names and yearned for a comment “were making such shallow theories and didn’t know behind the scenes.”
“I was deeply shocked, I didn’t want to read anything, I left the internet. We wish the family strength. Just mourn and reflect.”
Like Cauê, Rafinha Bastos was also asked to give a position on PC’s death, but so far he has not done so. The three were part of the first formation of the Island of Barbados channel on YouTube.
According to Moura’s report, Rafinha sent him a message as soon as the incident happened and asked him to avoid reading what some internet users were saying about him.
“I wasn’t distressed to see what they were saying about me, I’m at peace. I’m sad about what happened, but my conscience has nothing to do with it.”
The day after Siqueira’s death, internet users began going to Rafinha’s page to criticize his and Cauê’s attitude. One of Bastos’ last posts on Instagram had been flooded with comments regarding his former colleague’s death. Cauê, on the other hand, has restricted comments on his publications.
“I’ve always been a fan of yours, but I believe that in this situation both you and Cauê could have done something,” wrote a follower. “You and Cauê are to blame. The guy was acquitted and they didn’t reach out to a companion,” said another.
