Prince Harry had warned the CEO of Twitter before the attack on the Capitol |

by

Prince Harry said yesterday that he had “warned” the CEO of Twitter that his platform was playing a dangerous role in mobilizing extremist supporters of Donald Trump, on the eve of the episodes at the Capitol, in Washington, on January 6.

“We exchanged emails with Jack (Dorsey), the CEO of the social networking site,” Harry said during an online conference hosted by Wired, an American technology magazine.

“I warned him that his platform allowed (users) to stage a coup,” he continued. “This email was sent the day before and has never been answered since.”

In late 2020, the false rumors of election fraud, which were started by former President Donald Trump, fueled the anger of many conservatives and conspirators.

Hundreds of people stormed Congress during the Jan. Biden victory ceremony on Jan. 6. Five people were killed.

Then Facebook, Twitter and other major platforms shut down Donald Trump and the extremist organizations involved in the riots.

Twitter declined to comment on Prince Harry’s remarks.

“The internet is becoming a hotbed of hatred, division and lies. This is not normal. “Especially for anyone who has children,” he continued, in a discussion on misinformation.

“As human beings, as individuals who have the ability to make choices and make decisions, they could be a little more concerned about human safety,” he added.
