Britney Spears appears to have attacked her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlakeafter apologizing for what she wrote about him in her autobiography.

The 42-year-old singer initially shared a post on Instagram saying she was sorry if she “offended any of the people she really cares about” in her memoir, “The Woman In Me”.

In the book, published in October, the famous artist revealed that she had an abortion while dating the former NSYNC star.

Spears posted the apology along with a snippet of Justin Timberlake’s song on Saturday Night Live and added: “I also wanted to say that I’m in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song ‘Selfish.’ It’s so good and how come every time I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so much?”

He has since deleted the “apology” and accompanying posts after Timberlake appeared to respond during his concert in New York. In a video recorded during his appearance at Irving Plaza, Mr Timberlake he is heard saying to the audience: “I have absolutely no one to apologize to.”

Spears appeared to respond to Timberlake with another message on Thursday. “Someone was talking about me. Do you want to take it to court or are you going to go home crying to your mom like you did last time? I’m not sorry!”

Spears was 17 when she started dating Timberlake in 1999 after they met at the Mickey Mouse Club, which became a springboard for many celebrities including Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling.
