Fernando Fernandes shared on his social networks that he is undergoing arm surgery this Monday (5) to treat an injury suffered while kitesurfing. The presenter of No Limite (Globo) traveled to undergo the operation.
“When things don’t turn out as we imagine…we need serenity and faith!”, he wrote. Fernando said that he suffered the injury while doing a kitesurfing maneuver, which he was already used to. “I didn’t realize the severity of the injury when I fell, so I carried on with my life ‘normally’,” he continued.
Despite the pain he had been feeling, he only discovered the injury when he had a regular check-up. “After a long and boring MRI, I received the report: ‘Triceps tendon rupture’. I felt desperate at the time, because I already saw the size of the problem that would come.” “My arms play a very important role in my life”, recalled the para-athlete.
Fernando traveled to São Paulo to perform the surgery: “I arrived in SP, went straight to the doctor and, after a long chat, here I am, in the hospital room waiting for Dr. Ewerton to arrive to perform surgery on my right arm and reconnect this triceps tendon.”
The ex-BBB did not give updates on his health status after the surgery until the last update of this article.
