Jamie Lee Curtis celebrates 25 years of sobriety. The Oscar-winning actress posted a photo of herself on her personal Instagram account, holding an object with the words “JLC Twenty Five” engraved on it.

In the caption, Curtis, 65, wrote that she has been clean and sober for 25 years.

“One day at a time. 9,125 of them”the actress wrote. “What’s inside me, as my old friend Adam sang, is a sense of calm, peace, purpose, and the greatest feeling that I’m not alone. That many others share the same disease and the same solution.”

And he added: “For all those struggling with addiction and shame, there are others out there who care. My hand in yours. Our hands in yours. XO JLC’.

Famous friends and followers including John Stamos, Tyra Banks and Linda Evangelistaamong others, flocked to the comment section of the post to show their support.

Curtis was also candid about her family’s history of substance abuse. Her late father, actor Tony Curtis, used cocaine and heroin throughout his life, he was also an alcoholic, while her half-brother, Nicholas Curtis, died of a heroin overdose in 1994 at the age of 23.
