Playing Daphne in the first season of Netflix’s “Bridgerton”, Phoebe Dynevor will not participate in the third year of production. The actress herself was the one who announced her departure from the series and said that she even left the cast’s WhatsApp group. But, she didn’t rule out the possibility of a return as long as her character has strength in the plot and explained: “This series is unique because everyone has their own season. If there was a good reason for me to return, then maybe.”
Despite no longer exchanging messages with the other actors, Phoebe said that she maintains more contact with Jonatha, Bailey, Anthony’s interpreter in the series, and met Regé-Jean Page at an event a few months ago. “We kept thinking about the show. I’m still recovering from that. Filming the first season of ‘Bridgerton’ was probably the happiest moment I’ve ever had in my life,” she told the Evening Standard on Wednesday (7).
Phoebe also spoke about the feature film “Fair Game”, where she plays the protagonist Emily. Initially, Chloe Domont directed an independent film, which was later acquired by Netflix, set in a finance office, mostly made up of men and with a sexual policy to be questioned, the central character needs to show her talent to stand out.
“It felt like my story, and it felt like the story of every woman I know. Whether it’s working in a male-dominated environment or being in a relationship with someone who feels threatened by you, all of these things that women deal with all the time “Did I draw from personal experience? Of course. Am I willing to talk about it? Not really, but I have drawn on experiences I’ve had in the past,” Dynevor reflected.
