One of the oldest actresses in the cast of the series “Days of Our Lives”, Arianne Zucker filed a lawsuit in American court against producer Albert Allar, following several complaints about sexual and moral harassment from the professional. The actress says she was a victim of him behind the scenes of production with offensive comments and non-consensual intimate touches.
In the lawsuit, Zucker alleges that Allar encouraged aggressive sex scenes. Once, while directing the actress, the executive reportedly said in front of other people that “believe me, I would love to swap positions with you.” He also gave instructions that were considered embarrassing to the actress, such as: “Fuck him as if you were younger!” during recordings, in addition to intimidating employees.
In March last year, Zucker complained to the director of the program’s production company, Ken Corday, about Allar’s behavior. In addition to her, other women also reported the producer to Sony’s human resources department. In the end, 30 witnesses participated in the investigation against the head of production.
According to Variety magazine, the actress also states in the action that, during the investigation against the producer, her salary was reduced and, three months later, her character was eliminated from the program. Zucker had been part of the series for 25 years.
Allar was only fired in August after media reports emerged about the investigation of harassment allegations against the producer. At the time of his dismissal, he said that the investigation was motivated by two people who were upset with cuts to the program’s budget and were looking for better salaries.
