Jojo Todynho is excited to liven up Sapucaí this Monday (12th) of Carnival. The singer will debut as the muse of Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel, along with other famous people who parade in the special group’s samba schools in Rio de Janeiro. This is not her first year on the avenue, but one detail from the last few months makes her even more excited: her confidence has skyrocketed after bariatric surgery.
“Certainly, parading at Carnival 2024 has a taste of self-esteem victory for me,” Jojo told F5. The singer underwent surgery at the end of last year and has been sharing her body changes and weight loss on social media.
After losing 40 kg, following her diet and training, she says she is much more willing to cross the avenue: “Bariatric surgery was an important step for my health and well-being, and I feel much more willing and confident.”
The singer has shown on the networks her dedicated preparation for the parade, with strength training, swimming and tennis. “Being the muse of the association means representing the school, the community and the entire Carnival tradition with great pride.
