Astrid Fontenelle is causing repercussions with a post by Hillary Clinton on Instagram. The American politician made a joke when she congratulated the victory of Taylor Swift’s boyfriend’s team in the Super Bowl, last Sunday (11).
“Congratulations to Taylor’s boyfriend. And to all the Kansas City Chiefs fans,” she wrote. However, the Brazilian presenter countered that the athlete has a name. “What? Taylor’s boyfriend? Travis Kelse [sic] is the correct name.”
Brazilians and foreigners then explained to Astrid that Hillary’s speech is a joke about the fact that the singer is more famous than him, and a criticism of the way women are generally portrayed. The comments also warned the Brazilian that the correct one is Kelce.
“Taylor is much bigger internationally than the entire NFL,” wrote Jessie DuBois. “It’s because they always refer to women as someone’s wives or girlfriends. She ran for president twice and to this day they still refer to her as Bill Clinton’s wife. As a good feminist, she wrote the lyrics well”, commented the profile of Danny Bastos.
“Didn’t you think that Hillary doesn’t know this? It’s called humor”, said the profile that identifies itself as Rachel Vaugh.
