The city of Barra do Piraí (RJ) decided to cancel the payment of singer Lexa’s fee after she performed for just over 40 minutes in the city. According to the mayor, Mario Esteves, the organization will request explanations from the artist to understand why she performed “the shortest show in the city’s history”.
The city hall’s own profile released a note of repudiation and stated in it that the singer would not have respected her fans during a show at the BaDoPi Folia 2024 event, which took place in the municipality at the Royal Sport Club field, on the last day of Carnival.
Through social media, Lexa stated that, despite the rush, she put on a beautiful show for her fans. She also denied that she did not provide good service to those who went to the event. “I even took a photo with the mayor who was the first to arrive in the dressing room,” she says.
She reports flaws in the structure and delivery of the stage. “I did a show in Barra do Piraí despite being rushed, I arrived 30 minutes early, the problem was that they only delivered the stage 50 minutes late”, she says.
“They said I didn’t take a photo with the people, of course I did. I saw it was late and I said I needed to take it, because I have a life after with more things to do. But the show was beautiful”, he concluded.
