Discussions are underway Jennifer Garner for the new film entitled “Animals” that her ex-husband will direct on behalf of Netflix Ben Affleck.

Matt Damon will star in the crime thriller, while Affleck, in addition to directing, will also produce for Artists Equity alongside Brad Weston and Colin Creighton of MakeReady.

If the deal goes through, the shooting will begin immediately in Los Angeles. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the script is written by Connor McIntyre with revisions by Billy Ray Cyrus. The thriller follows a mayoral candidate and his wife, whose son is kidnapped. With enemies everywhere, political and non-political, the couple resort to the only option they have to save their son.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner met on his set “Pearl Harbor” in 2001 and on the set of “Daredevil” in 2003, they fell in love. They married two years later and divorced after their 10-year wedding anniversary, having had three children.
