The film ‘Oppenheimer’ took home the award for best film at this year’s BAFTA film awards ceremony.

The film won a total of seven awards.

The American actress Emma Stone won the Best Actress award for the film “Poor Things” by George Lanthimos.

The film’s director, Christopher Nolan, won the best director award after a long wait for the director’s honor after several commercial successes such as ‘Inception’ and ‘The Dark Knight’.

A big favorite at the British Film Awards, the British-born director beat Jonathan Glazer for “The Zone of Interest,” Justin Treet for “Anatomy of a Fall,” Alexander Payne for “Winter Break,” Bradley Cooper (“Maestro”) and Andrew Hague (“Without Ever Knowing Us”).

At the same time, the Irish actor Cillian Murphy, star of the film Oppenheimer who plays the American theoretical physicist, won the Bafta award in the category of best actor for his performance in the film.
