Zendaya she’s giving back to the community that helped launch her career. The Shakespeare Theatre in Ordina, California, USA also known as “Cal Shakes” announced that the actress and singer, star of the series “Euphoria” and the movie “Dune 2” donated $100,000 to the North Star Fund, the theater organization’s Fund through Women’s Donor Network (WDN).

“We are deeply grateful to Zendaya and WDN for their partnership and generous $100,000 grant to the North Star Fund” said Cal Shakes CEO Clive Worsley.

“The donation helps keep ‘Cal Shakes’ going strong as we prepare for our 50th anniversary season!” The donation will be used to upgrade the sound and lighting systems and fund the upcoming production of As You Like It” he reported.

Born in Oakland, California, Zendaya, a musician and actress, began her career in theater in Orida. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, her mother Claire Stormer was for a time in charge of managing the theater.
