It is considered a matter of time in Spain for the official announcement of the divorce of the royal couple – Felipe and Letizia – who already live separate lives and appear in public only for the circumstances imposed by the protocol, following the revelations of Letizia’s ex-fiancé, who claims that he kept love affair with the Queen of Spain

Queen Letizia’s former lawyer, David Roccasolano, has published the royal couple’s divorce agreement – a lengthy 50-page document with terms, clauses and conditions – pending settlement of which is likely to delay the official announcement.

In fact, according to the newspaper ‘El Nacional de Cataluña’ and other Spanish media, Queen Letizia was forced to sign the “Zarzuela agreements” against her will.

What does the divorce agreement provide for?

The crucial point in the agreement – as in any divorce – is what will happen to the couple’s children.

The document states that in the event of a divorce, Letizia will have to relinquish custody of their children and Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia will stay at the Palace with their father until they come of age.

Otherwise, in the event of a divorce, Leticia will be able to resume her career as a journalist after the divorce.

She will also receive a monthly financial allowance for life from the general state budgets, as the mother of the future head of state, the current Princess Leonor.

In addition, he will have access to two official residences, one for the summer season and one for the winter season, along with the necessary staff and all expenses included.
