The Victoria Beckham Show at Paris Fashion Week was interrupted by activists from the animal rights group Peta, who stormed the catwalk to protest the fashion designer’s use of animal products.

The protesters wore white T-shirts that read “turn your back on animal skins” and “animals are not cloth”. They walked alongside the models on the catwalk, holding placards that read: “Viva vegan leather.”

“We urge Victoria Beckham to turn to ethical and environmentally friendly innovations available today, such as high-quality leather made from apples, grapes, pineapples, mushrooms and more,” the activist group said, among other things.
