The new cycle of the series “Peaky Blinders” will “honor” Ellen McRory

by

Killian Murphy spoke about the new cycle of the series “Peaky Blinders”, noting that he will “honor” the late actress, Ellen McRory.

The actress, who played Polly Gray in the BBC series, died at the age of 52 from cancer in April last year – when the shooting of the sixth cycle was stopped due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Referring to the new cycle, the protagonist of the series said that he believes that it will be a “tribute” to Helen McRory.

“I think the whole series is really in her honor. “Her presence and the presence of her character are still felt in the series and are largely part of Tommy’s journey in this circle,” he said.

“It will be different without her. It just won’t be the same. “I have talked about how amazing she was as an actress and as a person and it is a huge loss for the entire community of actors and not just for our series.”

“My thoughts are always with Damian Lewis, her husband and her children,” added Killian Murphy.

On February 15, the date of the premiere of the new season of the series “Peaky Blinders” was revealed in Birmingham with a giant graffiti.

The 12.71-meter mural includes a picture of Murphy as Tommy Selby and confirms that the new season will air on February 27 at 9pm on BBC One.

Artist Akse created graffiti in seven days.

Killian Murphy said that the fans will be satisfied with the new cycle, which he characterized as “special”.
