Released by Apple TV+, the trailer of the police series “Sugar” starring Colin Farrell.

The Oscar-nominated actor plays an American private detective in California, John Sugar, who takes on the mysterious disappearance of Olivia Siegel, who is the beloved granddaughter of legendary Hollywood producer Jonathan Siegel. As Sugar tries to determine what happened to Olivia, family secrets surface, some very recent and some long buried.”

According to the description “Sugar is a contemporary, unique look at one of the most popular and important genres in literary, film and television history: the private detective story.”

Along with Farrell, Kirby Howell Baptiste, Amy Ryan, James Cromwell, Dennis Boutsikaris, Nate Cordry and Alex Hernandez star.

Oscar nominee Fernando Meireles directs and is one of the executive producers along with Farrell, while Mark Protosevich, David Rosen, Sam Catlin and Donald Joh wrote the script.

The series is set to debut on the platform on Friday, April 5 with two episodes.
