Facebook and Meta ran ads for an AI app that used fake nude photos of the minor Jenna Ortega! The “Wednesday” star was targeted by the Perky AI app.

The software “ran” at least 11 ads on social media platforms last month, according to NBC. At least one showed the actress topless based on a photo taken when she was 16.

The app – which costs just $7.99 – showed users how to create “fake” nude images of real people, using prompts like “no clothes”, “latex suit” and more.

The story of celebrity deepfakes is not new. It comes a few months after pornographic images of her Taylor Swiftcreated by artificial intelligence, went viral.

The app ran more than 260 different ads on Meta since September, 30 of which were removed by the social media company for violating its terms.

One of the ads for the actress, 21 today, has had more than 2,600 views, NBC reports. The ads were removed by Meta and Apple after being flagged by the news outlet.

Meta derives 95% of its revenue from advertising and has raised more than $131 billion in 2023. In addition to Ortega, the singer Sabrina Carpenter it was also the “target” of several advertisements.

Sabrina Carpenter is currently on tour in support of Taylor Swift, another celebrity who has fallen victim to the disturbing trend of ‘deepfakes’. The posts showed the “Love Story” singer in various provocative and offensive poses at a Kansas City Chiefs game, in which her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is playing.
