Michael Gambon (1940- 2023), known for playing the wizard Albus Dumbledore in the “Harry Potter” saga, died in September and almost six months later the actor’s will was opened by his family.
Owner of a fortune of approximately R$9.5 million, he excluded Phillipa Hart, the mother of his two minor children and with whom he had an extramarital relationship for more than 20 years, was left out of his inheritance.
Gambon elected his wife Anne and the couple’s son, Fergus, as his heirs and the duo will keep almost all of his assets. Phillipa was left penniless in the document written in 2016 and her two children with the actor were honored.
Tom, 17, and William, 15, will receive around R$63,000 (each) and some trophies won throughout their father’s career of more than 50 years, which were left as part of the inheritance in the document.
Michael met Philippa while filming the series ‘Longitude’ in 2000 and they have been together ever since, with the actor maintaining relationships with both women. Anne, upon learning of the betrayal, left the house they lived in together in London, but returned soon after and accepted the second relationship.
