Ken’s real-life partner stayed at home on Sunday night, cheering on her husband only on TV. On her Instagram profile, Eva posted a photo wearing the iconic pink jacket that Ryan wore at the presentation and wrote: “You took Ken to the Oscars, RG. Now come home, we need to put the kids to bed.”
Ryan, 43, who was nominated for best supporting actor for “Barbie”, went to the awards with his sister, Mandi Gosling, and mother, Donna Gosling.
According to “People” magazine, Eva Mendes, 50, is averse to this type of event and feels that her time on red carpets has passed.
“The glamor of awards shows, photographers, that’s not interesting to her anymore. She understands that it’s Ryan’s job, but it’s not her time. She’s happy taking care of her family,” a source close to the actress told the magazine.
Together for 12 years and parents of Esmeralda, 9, and Amada, 7, the couple’s priority is raising their daughters, states the magazine. “They do their best to stay out of the spotlight as a couple. Of course Eva is proud and happy for Ryan, but she still sees it as a job. It seems like a happy, healthy way to live. They love each other very much,” the source added .
The film “Barbie” was nominated in nine categories and won for Best Original Song, “What Was I Made For?” played by Billie Eilish.
